PAY PHONE 702
WRITER/DIRECTOR
Inspired by quiet streets, glowing vending machines, and well-lit public phones around Tokyo, Kenny Wu (DP) and I developed Pay Phone 702. In addition to these visual cues, we wanted the film to be an exploration of missed opportunity and redemption. Shot only a few months before the pandemic changed our definition of risk, I hope Pay Phone 702 serves as a reminder to continue taking risks and exploring the unknown.
Pay Phone 702 premiered at Short Shorts Asia Film Festival in Tokyo, and was selected for San Francisco Short Film Festival, Canal Street Film Festival, and Film Shortage.
